Nevertheless the world does change, if imperceptibly at any given time, and only because people such as Dylan feel too need a change it- THANK GOODNESS once in a while a record enmnany does something now. Instead of the standard “OK, Think, Give me twelve tacks .. alternate tempos... no more thanwo Latins... and stick in a “cuteroony’,” the album is composed entirely of four ex tended tacks. Arrange ments for the concert orchestra , are lively and thoughtful, and the transitions sound amazingly fresh. SHORT CUTS: In The World of Lonely People (Columbia) Anita Bryant sings to the overt arrangements of Frank Bunter. Behind:her wall modulated voice is that contrived psuedo-coun* try sound that was happily miss ing from her last set, As Long! As We Needs Me.
