Suit StartedIn Assault CaseMrs O J. Richardson, 1010 Lenawee, has retained a lawyer to begin suit action against Gerry Davis, former employee for the Gulf station at Logan and Allegan, for the alleged attack on her son Mike Wocds, 10. on Saturday, June 22.Mike claims that as he and another friend Clifford Colenburg, 11, were crossing the front end of the station and were looking at a red Corvette sports car when Davis began to chase the two of them.“After he caught me,” said Mike,, he grabbed me by the arm and knocked me down.“He (Davis) then went back to pumping gas.“I tried to get up, but I couldn’t; I fell back down.’’Woods was taken to St. Lawrence Hspital for treatment, He spent six days in the hospital.Gerry Davis said that he did not hit Mike. He said that he only grabbed him by the arm. He claims that Mike fell by himself.City prosecutor, Leo Farhat, and his assistant Eon Gibson, have stated that the city can not prosecute because of conflicting stories on the part of witnesses who claim to have seen the incident.
