Mr. ‘and Mrs. Joe Hijo Are Sought by ‘Miss Leo Morris New York, ‘July 19—Somewhere in New York, New Jersey, or possi bly fh on “neighboring state, Ioe in ‘atraitened circumstances an elderly couple, born in Calcutta, India, for whom a comfortable home is waiting in Atlanta, Ga., hospitable city of the old south. Friend of a family by whom Mr. and Mrs. Hijo were bought from ‘Calcutta as servants some 40 years ‘ago, Miss Leo Morris has spent much in time and money to find the couple, but to no avail She has now enlisted the aid of the press, and is offering a reward of $150 to the first person giving correct information as to their ‘whereabouts, fit was learned from the police. * About seven years ago camew the ‘death of Mr. and Mrs Nicholas Peter ‘Pogose by whom the couple were employed, from the time of their ar rival in America in July, 1886. Mr. and Mrs. Hijo have lived in Newburgh, NY.; Ringwood, N. J; West Englewood, N. J.; Hilburn, N Y.; New York city, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Tappan, NY, and Orangeburg, N. Y., moving from Orangeburg in Oc tober of 1927, since which time neither Miss Morris nor those assist ing her in her search have had any word from them. Mrs. Hija has long, straight hair and wears it braided much of the time. Her husband's hair and beard are almost white. Their color is dark. The couple speak ‘‘Hindu ” language and broken English. They are between 70 and 75 years of age, getting feeble and in destitute cir cumstances. Miss Morris, in conducting the search for this aged couple, is per forming a labor of love. It was one -of-the last requests of Mr. and Mrs. Bogose that she care for them to the end of their lives. Miss Morris’ address is Post Office Box 784, Atlanta, Ga.
