The Baroness Recovers Madame La Baronne Emilie de Re viere of Mobile has numerous friends in the city who will be cld to learn of her convalescence after a sedious illness at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Anna Tait, at Canton, Ala. Madame de Riviere lived twenty-five years in France, the gracious chatelaine of the Baron de Riviere’s chateau in the country as well as the historic town house in the aristocratic quartez of the Faubourg St. Germain in Paris and in consequence she is a most interesting personage. Since the time her hus band became a Trappist mai, Madame la Baronne has lived in ex ceeding quiet, but for her intimate friends her charm has remained undi minished. The beautiful speech of La Felle France had become for her ,a second mother tongue, and this ac complished double her native attrac tions. Misses Hilda and Marie Simon with their sister, Mrs.Mose Zella and Mr Zétla, of Savannah, Ga, have returned to the city from a pleasant trip to Battles wharf.. Miss Lizzie Crabtree of Gulf Crest, who is attending summer school in Mobile, was the guest of relatives on the coast during the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Carbazzi and Miss Hopey of New Orleans, are spending the summer on the eastern shore. Mr. and Mrs. R. 8. Givens and fam ily have been enjoying a seashore stay with their parents in Biloxi.
