Obituary—Mrs. Eliza Ann Newman.Eliza Ann Cook, daughter of James and Deliah Cook, was born Jan. 18, 1838, in Hocking county, Ohio. Shepassed away at her late home in Ligonier, July 9,1900, aged 68 years, 5 months and 21 days. She came to northern Indiana when ten years of age, and ever) since has made her home in Ligonier 6nd the immediate vicinity. On March 10,1856 she united in mar* riage with Josiah Newman. To this union there was born time children. One of the children died in infancy, the other two, Frank Newman and Mrs. Martha Goshoru of Ligonier, ate still living.Mrs. Newman became a member of the Baptist church in the year 1867. Her last illness was marked with great suffering, but in it she found comfort in trusting the Saviour. She was ready and anxious to depart and be at peace.There remain to mourn their loss the two children above mentioned; three grandchildren, George, Ada and Hallo Goshom; one brother, Noah Cook of Wexford, county, Mich., Mrs, Mary Ripperton of Ligonier and many neighbors and friends. * *
