A Lottor on Its Travels.The Kev. Alexander Reid recently received a letter whose envelope tells a singular story. It stinted at H|Knceiport. N. V.# on March 7, 18S5, and was addressed to Spencer, Ind. Ter. Reaching the nearestdistributing office it was discovered that, there was no such post-office in Indian Ten i lory; it was, therefore,(jugding from the numerous stumps it hears) sent to the Dead Letter t Mice in Washington. Thence, hearing a pi in ted blank of instructions, it went to St. Louis 11s the nin«|uiry office of that department. This point was reached April 13. There a line, was drawn through “Ter,” and it went on searching for “Spencer, Ind. Failing to Qnd a II nosier resting place, it went hack to Washington. There it was opened and from the slip of paper the fact that it ought to go to Indian Territory was established. The line
