Mrs. Sarah Holmes, Aged 81, Victim of Complications After Year’s Illness. Sarah Holmes, collored, aged 81, died at her home, 218 E. Millst Friday at 3 a. m. of complications after 4 years’ illness. She was a resident of Pickaway-co _ since birth and was one of the county's most highly respected colored res idents. She was born in Chillicothe, April 12, 1849, and was the daugh ter of Joseph and Mary E. Nicho las Henry. Her husband, W. M. Holmes, preceded her in death. Surviving are three children, Florence Dickerson, Philadelphia, Pa., William and Pearl Holmes of this city; two grandchildren, Vi vian Holmes and Faustina Davis; one great grandson, Charles Mit chell; a grandson, Clyde Mitchell; a niece, Susie Brige, Cincinnati, and a nephew, Jay Henry, this city. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. at the St. Paul M. E. church of which she was a member, with Rev. Charles Williams of St. Clairsville, officia ting. Burial will be in Forest ce metery by the W. H. Albaugh Co. Pall bearers wil be George Dade, James Dade, Jay Henry, Daniel Smith, Frank Holmes and E. L. Hyman.
