TAKEN FROM JAIL BY MOB AND LYNCHEDJoshua Anderson, Wife Murderer Given Short Shift by a Crowd of Angered and Desperate Kentuckians.Owensboro, Ky„ July 17.—At 2 o'clock 111 is morning Joshua Anderson, who killed his wife on July 0, nt the home of his father-in-law in this city, was taken from I he county Jail by a muli and hanged to a beam over the oily scales, which Is within 100 yanis of tin? jail.The mob worked quietly and rapidly, and al(hough the officers of the jail made every effort lo prevent the lynch -big, tliofr efforts wore i'uUlc\'nnd the murderer was pul out of the way.Anderson is accused of having: called his wife to Uio door of her father's homo and shooting: her to death. He afterward came to this city and gave himself up, saying that ho wanted to ho guarded and feared the mob. He was about 2$ years of age and bus prominent, relatives throughout this section of the country.
