The excursion from Goshen was much appreciated by the managers of the Assembly. Goshen has never failed to send out a good, large excur sion to Island Park, and always con sists of the best citizens of the place. They sent the largest excursion here last year and up to the present the latest this year. Prof. F. Hi. Bailey conducts a large class in “Star Gazing” each evening. With the use of the Astral lantern, his own invention, one is enabled to pick out any constalation in the heavens and any star. The Goshen party who are here tenting at Island Park, consisting of James Crary and family, James H. Mayfield and family, together with three or four young ladies report a good time. Messrs. Crary and Mayfield are talking of erecting a cottage of the latest style on their lots just north of Proebal hall on Bridge avenue. E. E. M.
