Mr and Mrs. Preston Powers, Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniver sary on July 10 with a fami ly dinner at Pincrest Coun try Club. The couple was married July 6, 1933. Joining them in the celebration were a daughter, Mrs. Florence Powers Williamson. Greensboro; and her son, Jimmy; a son, James P Powers, Jr.. Dorothy, Debra and Nigel. umber ton, Mr. and Mrs. Muldrew Powers, Mr. Gilead, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Johnson of Lake View, S.C. Mr. Powers was a school administrator for 42 years in Anderson, S.C., Colum bus and Robeson counties, and a math teacher at Robeson Technical Col lege. He received an A.B. degree from Furman University and did graduate work at Wake Forest College. Mrs Powers, the former Pansye Keaton from Anderson, S.C., was a school teacher for 35 years in North and South Carolina. She received her education from Winthrop College, Cincinnati Conser vatory of Music and Flora McDonad College She holds a B.M. degree and did graduate work at the University of North Carolina.
