ObituariesAnges Martha Lena Borchers was born January 9, 1901, daughter of Herman and Emily Wegner Lenz. She graduated from Hawk-eye High School and U.N.l. She taught school in Montana and also at Alpha and Tripoli.She was a life member of the Lutheran Church. On March 28, 1937, she was married to Ed Borchers. They farmed in the Maynard Community until they retired in 1963. She passed away June 18. 1975 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Waterloo. She is survived by her husband Ed. one sister, Mrs. Mathilda Schlegcl, Maynard, one brother. Will Lenz, Independence.Final rites were held_June 21. 1975 at the Maynard St. Paul Lutheran Church. Her nephew. Rev. Larry Rchlander. Waterloo, officiated. Burial was at the Hawkcyc Cemctary.Funeral services were held on July 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Maynard United Methodist Church for Mrs. Lena Martin. 81. Mrs. Martin passed away early Thursday morning at Oclwcin Mercy Hospital. She is survived by one son, Roger, Coggon, two grandsons. She was amember of the Maynard Uniter' Methodist Church. United Methodist .Women and Maynard Senior Citizens. Burial was at Grand View Cemetary. Fayette.
