Bids called on “Gasbuggy”The Nevada Operations Office of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission is seeking bids on work to be performed under three separate contracts for Project Gas-buggy—a gas stimulation experiment using nuclear e.xplosives.Bids are being sought for well logging services, well cementing services, and drilling an instrument hole to a total depth of 4,725 feet at the Gasbuggy site some 55 air miles east of Farmington, New Mexico. The project is a joint venture of the Atomic Energy Commission, El Paso Nat ural (ias, and the Department of the Interior.Bids opening will be at 2 p.m. in Las Vegas on .July 11 for well logging, July 21 for well cementing, and July 24 for drilling the instrument hole.
