Mrs. Matilda. Pickett Dead.Mrs. Matilda Pickett. 91, one of the oldest settlers of Lyon county, died this afternoon at her home. 632 Neosho. No funeral arrangements have been announced.Mrs. Pickett was the last charter member of the First Methodist church, of Emporia. Mrs. Pickett fell and broke her hip a few years ago and had been an invalid since then. The extreme heat during the past week made her condition critical. Mrs. Pickett is an aunt of O. A. Kirkendall.
