How the trouble started we were unable; to learn, but Gray is now in a! hospital at Louisville with three 1 plugs in his body and Adkins in jail at Hawesvilie. severely cut, asthe result of their personal difficulties. The report had circula-: ted that Gray had died at Louis--ville Thursday, but upon inquiry we were informed this to be untrue. Adkins it is said shot at Gray five times, three bullets striking him. After being shot Gray was the aggressor and cut Adkins several times about the face and bodv.
