industrial school. In Baltimore t e Rev. Geo. B. Johnson (white) is rector of St. James church a colored congregation. He seems to be quite zealous and energetic in his work. Probably the largest congregation of colored churchmen in the country is the church of St. Mary the Virgin in Baltimore of which Rev. C. B. Perry is Pastor. We had the privilege of attending services at St. Mary’s also. On the firsi page of this paper will be seen a cut of the interior of that church. The services at this church are almost entirely of a choral nature. There are many probably who do not agree with Mr. Perry and his High Churchmanship but all agree in awarding him the honors of being a zealous and hard working priest. St. Mary’s church has a membership of nearly live hundred communicants.
