OBITUARYCLEMENT HAROLD WHITLEYFuneral services were held the afternoon of July 11, 1970, for Clement Harold Whitley, 75, who passed away July 8 at West Union.The Rev. George T. Carl of- , ficated at the services held in the United Methodist Church. Interment was at Grandview Cemetery.Belles- Wright Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.. Whitley was born Dec. 26,1894, in Westfield Township to Charles Henry and Louisa Crim Whitley. As a child of only one year he moved with his parents to the present home where he lived the rest of his lifetime.On Feb. 20, 1918, he married Emily Mabel Jones who survives him. The couple had three children: Charles George, a retired Colonel, USAF, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs* George (Lucille) Dawson of Seneca Falls, N. Y.; and Mrs. Malcolm (Velma) Shirk of Eugene, Ore.In addition he is survived by nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Allenstein of Arlington, and Mrs. Merton (Grace) Bratton of Albuquerque,N. M.Whitley was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Fayette, the Fayette County Farm Bureau, and for twelve years a member of the Fayette Consolidated School Board serving as its president for several years.
