Mrs. Julia Christenson Has 85th Birthday' Mrs. Julia Christenson was honored on her 85th birthday at a picnic dinner at the J. N. Larson home on Sunday.Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Maynard, Hubbard,' Mr. and Mrs. Casper Stenberg of Jewell, Carrie Lande of Slater, Leslie Lande of Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Espeland, Dana and Dag-ne of Eldon, Mr. and Mrs. A1 Peternel, Rex and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Tauer, Dennis, Timothy and Robert Lienenman of South St. Paul, Mrs. Mildred Christenson and Raymond, Mrs Virdell Riester,Also Mr. and Mrs. Roger Trueg, Michael, Larry and Cheri of Cedar Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Boettchei’, Debbie, Shirley and .Marilyn of Elmore, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Espeland, Trudy, Ricky, Steven and Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Beck, Ann, Michael and - Patrick of Forest City, Mr. and Mrs, Mar-lyn Asmus, Mike, Mary, Christine, Charles, James and Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Herem and Justin, Mrs. Celia Espeland, and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Larson and Jackie.On Saturday, Mesdames Irvin Thompson, Walter Schaumberg •and M, W. Smith visited her and on Monday, Mesdames James Bendickson and Beth, Ida Hove; Bertha Johnson and Henry Quame visited her. On Wednes day evening Mrs. Pete Eikenes and Mrs. Herman Thompson were there to extend birthday greetings.Mrs. Christenson, the former Julia Sevold, was born July 12 1879 at Randall. She was married to P. J. Christenson. They moved on a farm on the north west edge of town in 1911. In 1943 they moved to Rake. She has four children: Mrs. Carl(Helen) Herem, Mrs. Celia Espeland, Mrs. J. N. (Agnes) Larson of Rake and Pleny Christenson of Hewitt, Minn. She has 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren,Mrs. Christenson lives alone in her home here, does her own housework and enjoys gardening and flowers. She is an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church Women and Circle.
