HEREFORD, July 15, (Special)—Mr. and Mrs. F. G. With erspoon announce the marriage of their daughter, Jo Ann, to Robert Leo Hennington, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Hennington. Bob Wear, minister of Hereford Church of Christ, read the double-ring service in the home of the bride’s parents on Monday evening, July 19. Vows were exchanged before an improvised altar of gladi oli and daisies, flanked by candelabra. Miss Mary Kathryn Carroll, pianist, played “At Dawning” as a nuptial prelude and the traditional wedding marches. “Clair de Lune” was played throughout the cere mony. Miss Doris Jean McGee, brides maid, and Mrs. Bill Simpson, ma tron-of-honor, wore ballerina length frocks of embroidered organdy in blue and yellow. The dresses were styled with V necklines, cap sleeves, fitted bodices and flared skirts. Their halo headdresses were of matching net accented with white daisies, and they carried colonial nosegays of white carnations and rosebuds. Carl Hennington was his brother’s best man and Dale Barkley was groomsman. Candles were lighted by Neil Witherspoon, brother of the bride, and Elson Hennington, broth er of the bridegroom. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a ballerina length gown of embroidered white nylon, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline outlined in a lace-edged berths, cap sleeves, fitted bodice and full skirt. Her shoulder-length veil of illusion fell from a Juliet cap of embroidered nylon dotted with seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations center ed with a gardenia. An informal reception honored the bridal party following the ceremony. Laid with a lace cloth, the serving table was centered with the bride’s bouquet flanked by white tapers in crystal holders. Mrs. G. C. Hart man, Jr., served the tiered wedding cake. Miss Jane Witherspoon of Amarillo, cousin of the bride, and Miss Mary Katheryn Carroll pre sided at the punch bowl, which was embedded in gladioli,, snapdragon, Phlox and sweet pea blossoms, Mrs. Priscilla Dill of Pampa registered the guests. When the couple left for a short wedding trip, the bride wore a pink linen suit with brown and white ac cessories and a corsage of cream rosebuds. Mrs. Hennington was graduated from Hereford High School and at tended Amarillo College, where she was a member of Theta Chi Soror ity. Mr. Hennington was graduated from Hereford High School and was employed at the Hereford Bak ery before enlisting in the Navy. He has completed his basic training at San Diego, Cal., where he will re port for reassignment. Out-of-town guests attending the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Witherspoon, Billy, Jane and Robert of Amarillo, Mrs. Priscilla Dill of Pampa and Clarence O. Long of Conway.
