This district has recently bee visited by these officials, who are said to contemplate a lookout station to cover permanent convenient landing points. It is believed here that quantities of quar are brought from time to time. Recently, | liquor boat was captured, but the boat operators escaped by the boat and making their way land. The number of paved routes from here to Los Angeles is said to make it a desirable port for landing liquor.
