DIED.8TEBBIXS.—In New Hampton, July 12th, 181*1, Mrs. Emily C. Stebbins, in the eighty-fourth year of her age.Deceased whose maiden name was. Emily Calkins, was born in Wilbraham, Mass., April 22nd, 1808, and was left an orphan at nine years of age, and livedwith an adopted' sister at Longrneadow, Mass. most of the time until her marriage to the late Capt. Aaron 0. Stebbins, which took place May 5th, 1833. They came to New Hampton July 13th 1861, and remained about a year, returning from Illinois, to which they went In 1862, in Sept. 1871 and have since resided here, and together they are sleeping side by side in the cemetery.Deceased was for many years a member of the Baptist church, and unitedwith the Congregational church heremany years ago. Her life was one of care and trial, and while she lived she was always busy both in body and mind.Three children were the fruit of her marriage, Mrs. K. F. Powers, John B. Stebbins and Emily C. Stebbins all of whom reside here.The funeral was held at her late residence, July 13th 1891 the Hev. J. W. Horner conducting the service.Mother, is a wonderfully precious name, one that touches and thrills every human heart and all deeply sympathize with these bereaved ones.
