A prime example was this week’s Elyria Savings and Trust bank robbery. We had an extra person here on that”The station’s sports department has also benefited from a similar philosophy. Sports director Wally Mintus and reporter Jim Allen earned a second-place Press Club award for Sports Reporting and Commentary in competition against radio sports teams of all market sizes.
