On Monday, July 5, Mac’s Del. played in the North Dearborn, In diana tournament and did very well finishing third. Mac’s drew Bright in the opening game and lost a heartbreaker by 4-3 score in extra innings. In the second game 19-12 Ronny Dunn did a masterful pitching job in the first game and Don Kamp haus a great relief job in the sec ond. Hitting stars for Mac’s on the day were numerous. Ron Dunn had a home run and three singles. Mark Hendren a home run and a double and 2 singles. Brian Morris a triple, double and a single, Eric Beebe a triple and 2 singles. Scott Baker 4 singles. Bob Farmer a double and Don Kamphaus a doub le. Mac’s was proud to participate in this fine tournament and pone out to Julius Huffman and Jim Lyttle for organizing and present ing this fine baseball show. Our congratulations also to Kenny Gabbard, the manager of Bright, who won the championship trophy by a 4-3 count in the final round against Stateline. This tournament was played at Lyttle Field in Bright, named for Jim Lyttle the fine young outfield er of the New York Yankees.
