CHETEK (Special) — Funeral services for Freeman Mikesell, 64, were held Sunday at the Christian Advent Church in Che tek with interment in that city also. Mr. Mikesell died at Lake side Hospital, Rice Lake on Ju ly 9 after a long illness. He was born in Delphia, Ind., May 6, 1888 and came to Chip pewa Valley. He served as dea con of the Brethren Church for a number of years. He married Connie Bilderback in 1909 and 10 years later the family moved to Chetek where he engaged in the restaurant business until 1939. He later acted as a guide and manufactured baits when his health permitted. Surviving are his wife, three children, Lawrence, of Wheaton, Ill.; Mrs. H. G. France, Che ek, and Marvin, Arlington, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. William Roessler, Mrs. Floyd Baker, and Mrs. Lester Root, all of Eau Claire; four brothers, George and Paul, of Eau Claire, O. D. ,Mikesell, Mondovi, Landis, Me nomonie; and nine grandchil dren. BUENOS AIRES (AP) — The United States Monday protest ed to the Argentine government at two incidents of violence against the United States Infor mation Service here.
