By Mrs. Mildred W. Norvell The Methodist Revival closed Sun day night after being in progress for the past week. Services were conducted by our local pastor, Rev. A. L. Dennis. One new member was added to the Church. A large crowd from our com munity were trading and shopping in Bowie Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Virgle Shiflett and children of Post City came in Sat urday night for a visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Blas ingame. Mrs. Belle Magee, who is attend ing college at Wichita Falls, was the week-end guest here of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tomp kins. Ross Lettell and Miss Lucille White of Forestburg attended church here Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Buster Evans and children of Saint Jo spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Maples, and family. Rev. and Mrs. J. E. Cox of Mon tague attended some of the revival services at night here last week. Th Baptist revival will start here Sunday, July 17th. Services will be held by our pastor, Rev. J. E. Cox, of Montague. Everyone is urged to come and help make the meeting a success. Berry Richie of Belcherville was here Sunday visiting in the home of his friends, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Burke, and family. Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Freeman visited in Mallard Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Cook had for their guest last week their nephew, the little Holland boy of Mallard. The Bowie News, $1.00 per Year
