Will Rejuvenate Old Chevro let; Hoffman May Come Back To Local Track. Five racers had definitely entered the lists yesterday for the motor race meet at Frontier park next Sunday, and officials of the Cedar Rapids Amusement association had the promises of a number of other pilots. Following the entries of Howard Adams, Marion, and Gus Schrader and Johnny Gerber, fa vorites, Wilson Pingrey announced himself at the office of the associa tion and entered two cars. The Dodge in which he broke the local and state half mile track rec ord, he will drive himself. His other car, the old Chevrolet which has been standing unused in the corner of his garage since he acquired the Dodge, will be put in condition and driven by Jimmy Trainor, Los An geles, Calif. Horak To Try Again. Another local driver to signify his desire to again compete on the Frontier park is Charles Vestry, who copped a slice of the prize money with his Fronty at the last race meet here. J. O. Horak, whose Alpha was smashed on the east turn during the last preliminary, has re paired his car and announces that he will try again. Sam Hoffman, Sioux City pilot, who won the high honors by tak ing the final sweepstakes, has in formed officials here that he will be back for the Sunday race meet. His official entry blank has not been received. Word from a number of others is expected this week. The motorcycle entry list is ex pected to include the usual num ber of competitors for the races, with the addition of several riders from Minneapolis.
