A NEW WHOLESALE GROCERY BUILDING IN EAST WASHING TON STREET BUSINESS DIS TRICT: H. H. Walker will erect a new build ing in east Washington street business district. The plans and specifications have been completed and work on the now building will be started immedia tely. J. D. Ballard,the contractor has charge of the constriction of the build ing. The erection of the new buildng was made necessary by the great in crease in Mr. Walker's wholesale busi ness. It had grown so large that the former building would not nearly hold the store. For some time he has rent ed the brick building just west of the store, and has kept the overflow of Stock in there, but recently this has ceased to accomodate Mr. Walker's rapidly increasing business, so a new building was necessary. This new building will have a twen ty foot frontage on east Washington street and will extend back from the street one-hundred feet. An ell, twei ty feet in width will connect the north end of the main building with the alley which runs north and south at the side of the J. W. Hayworth grocery. The rest of the building is estimated at four thousand dollars. It will be of brick, one story high, with concrete floor and double decking around the sides. A office with all the modern equipments will be installed in the southwest corner of the building, just on the left of the main entrance. In act the building will be up to date and modern in every detail, and Mr. Walk er is to be congratulated on his suc cess In, business and his improvement of the east Washington street business district
