CONTRACT LET FOR NEW SCHOOL HOUSEWill Be Built on Garden Island —Work Soon to Commence.The work of building the new schoolhouse on Garden Island will commence at once. The building will be 22x32 feet, and with the school grounds, will cover about three-ouar-ters of an acre.The lot was donated to the school located on Garden Island, opposite Anderson’s greenhouse.*Hawley Ritters secured the contract, and the Fairbanks Lumber Co. will supply the lumber for the new structure. H. C. Davia. who is a memberof the school board, will oversee the work of construction.The new building will be completed before the school opens in September.
