The settlement of Galicians in Saltcoats district will be known as the “Steinhard Colonv,” this name being given to it by Immigration Agent McCreary, in honor of Mr Steinhard the interpreter.Some weeks ago a report appeared in these .columns that the child born to Galician parents on the train en route to Saltcoats had died. Such we are informed was not the case, the child being alive and healthy, and we readily make the necessary correction. The item came to us through the ordinary news channel.
