The Washington Township Class of 1951 held their 20th year reunion July 3 at Chestnut Logs. Music for dancing was provided by the Gene Richardson Trio. Faculty members attending were Walter Lohman, principal, Joseph Davison and Mrs. Ethel Neal. Serving on the planning committee were Richard Eigenbrode, Barry Barlup, Ben Moody, Donald Miller, Ger trude Shank Miner, Lois Hess Heintzelman, and Clara Mc Clear King. Richard Eigenbrode, class president, served as master of ceremonies. The invocation was offered by Donald Miner. Prizes were awarded to Max Stuckey, changed the most and traveling farthest, Donald Smith, having the least hair, Clara McClear King, changed the least, and Barry Barlup, having the youngest child. Jeff Todd, Judge approves two divorces Divorces have been signed by Judge John W. Keller for two area couples. Indignities were charged by the husbands in both cases. Robert Walters, Zullinger, and Carolyn English Walters, 147 N. Potomac St., received a decree Monday. They were married Aug. 17, 1958 in Ben netsville, S.C . and have five children. Herbert D. Water game winners were Richard Faust, Melinda Shaffer, Tuesday Kirby, Trudy Weyant, Barry Houch and Carl Barnes. Tim Crist was the distance winner of the shoe kicking contest. Events during the week at Lemasters playground, directed by Craig Gerhart, included an addition tag for both girls and boys with Nancy Hawbaker, Carma Plessinger 42 born in June . There were 42 births in Waynesboro during June ac cording to Helen M. Myers, local registrar of vital statistics. There were 32 deaths in the region in June 23 in Waynesboro, five in Quincy Township, three in Washington Township and one at the South Mountain Restoration center. ‘and Randy Pressinger judged ‘the Winners. Jigsaw puzzle swinners were Donald Mann, Nancy Hawbaker and Carl a Hawbaker. Champs of dodge of both girls and boys was Gary Pressinger, Sherry Beach and Brent Phenicie. A special treat: ‘was a kool aid party. Edenville’ playground ac tivities, directed by Misses ‘Karen and, Barbara ‘Gillan, included whiffle ball games and painting. Named as winners of the funny ‘face contest were Debbie Anthony, Tami Hil, Tina ‘Walker, and ‘Clint Walker. Alphabet ‘scavenger hunt winners were Dane Anthony, Debbie Anthony, Frankie Mellott,Donnie Mellott, Angie Renfrew, Ken Shatzer, Donnie Creager, Brendan Creager and Janie Disney.é .Pet show recognition was given Donnie Mellott,Dane Anthony,, Tonya Anthony,” ,Frankie Mellett, Angie Renfrew, Brett Mackey, Billy, Jamie and Glynis Disney, Billie Disney and Ken Shatzer. Concluding the weeks events were relay races, candy scrambles ,and four square games.
