July 14 1960Mist Marlene Hanlon Weds James Hasterl In Scottsbluff July 2Mary Marlene Hanlon, daughter of Mr. *and Mrs, John A. Hanlon of Scottsbluff, became the bride or James. L. Hastert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. Hastert of Shelby,1 Nebr. at. a nuptial mass in Christ the King Church in Gering, Nebr on July 2nd. Rev Father J. 11. Whalen performed the double ring ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white embroidered silk organza dress which was fashioned and made by her mother. The fitted bodice featured 'a scalloped neckline with cap sleeves accented ^by^mafcching gauntlets The three tiered hoop skirt was of floor length and ended in a slight train. She carried a bouquet of orchid glamillias in crescent shape and a crystal rosary which was a gift of the groom. Miss Betty Brandenberger was maid of honor ( and Mias Shirley Alt was bridesmaid. They wore identical orchid embosses cottons of street lengtn with overskirts of oschid chiffon and orchid hats. They carriea white glamillias in crescent shape.Jack Hanlon, cousin of the bride, served as best man and Dwight Boesiger was attendant to te groom. Ushers were Dennis Boesiger and Robert Gifford.
