Attempt to Remove Still Material at DePue An attempt was made to remove the concrete building blocks used in constructing the illegal distillery found at De Pue on Monday night. A car and truck carrying five men was discovered removing the blocks by Joe Bender, owner of the build ing. He notified Marshal Herman Bansch who promptly called Sheriff Neill. When the officers arrived on the scene the truck and men had de parted. The license on one of the cars was obtained and it was found to have been issued to Anton Angelo, of Oglesby. He is now serving a federal sentence in the La Salle county jail for violation of the liquor laws. It is believed he disposed of the machine some time . The brick or blocks which the men endeavored to remove are said to be ‘of a special white material suitable ‘in the construction of stills.
