The annual convention of the icmbers of the Sixth District Bapt t Association was called to order a Monday at qoon in Mount Calvary B iplisl Church, on Weeks street, Rev. 1. B. Livingston, pastor.There were aeventy- live delegate* present on the opening day, and this number was increased to nearly two hundred before the close of the eess-HUNDA.Y SCHOOL WORK. These seventy-five delegaii represented thirty-five Sunday Schools with an enrollment of three thousand scholars, according to the secretary’s report. This is surely i representation of which the Association can well be proud.The Session was opened by President A. J. Horton, after which Rev. A. R. Butler of Aruaudville, offered prayer. Miss Lodora Michael of this city delivered an eloquent addrevs ol welcome, which was responded to by Mrs Mary Billy of New Orleans.The Committee on Nomination of Officers was named as follows: Revs. J. W. Cooper, Thomas Williams,G. C. Casimir, E. F. Abrams, H. Williams, W. T. Smith. J. C. Noab and Miss Carrie Segura.The Committee on Finance was ppomted: Revs. A. T. Dwyer, Moi-ris Jones, O. Lewis, J. R. Graves, Sylvester Simon, A. James and Mrs. Mary Billy.At the night session. Rev. J.
