Robert S. DanilinHendersonville, N. C.Robert S. Danilin, of Hendersonville, N.C., passed away at The Elizabeth House in Hendersonville on Friday morning, July 8, 2012.He was bom on June 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and lived in the greater New York metro area prior to his move to North Carolina 14 years agoBob was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Morris and Regina Kaufman Danilin, and his sister, Helen Danilin Klein.He is survived by his wife, Carol Smith Danilin, formerly of Bedford; his sister Edna and husband Martin Belasco of Tampa,Florida, his children; Cheryl Danilin-Caloras of VirginiaBeach, Virginia, Craig Danilin of Keln, Germany, and Melissa Danilin-Pearce and husband Jay Pearce of Sarasota, Florida He is also survived by his stepchildren: Cathy Sechrist of Martinez, California, David and wife Kay Smith of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Philip and wife Connie Smith of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, Lisa and husband James Dabney of Cogan Station, Pennsylvania, Matthew Smith and wife Judy Mhi of San Fran cisco, California.He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren: Jason Caloras, Ryan Caloras, Jay Pearce, Jr., Trade Pearce Foster, Gretchen Sechrist Kehan, Katie Sechrist Hunt, Erica Smith Religioso, Stephanie Smith Cooney, Amy Smith Bockis, Alan Smith, Adam Smith, Alex Smith, Tara Dabney Realing, Ryan Dabney, Colter Dabney, Olivia Dabney, Tristan Miu Smith, their nine spouses, and 18 great grandchildren.Bob's caring and generous nature will be profoundly missed by his many family and friends.A Memorial Service will be held at Thomas Shepherd Son Chapel, 125 South Church Street, Hendersonville on Friday, July 13, at 3 pm. Joseph Gernoske of Trinity Presbyterian Church will offidate.
