COLUMBUS, O., July 13—(AP)— Wailing his innocence, Pang Young, an Oriental, was carried to the elec tric chair last night and executed for the holdup slaying of a Cincin nati Negro. Unable to stand, the frail man was placed bodily into the chair. Then, staring at a bunch of garden flow ers crushed in his hand, he chatter ed in his high-pitched voice: “Don't do this to me, I'm not guilty!” a was pronounced dead at 8:16 P. first Oriental to pay with his crime in Ohio and the 224th from executed in Ohio Peniten tiary. Young was convicted of slaying James Hill, 60-year-old Negro, dur ing a holdup one year ago last night. But he insisted in his last hours of life that it was “all a mistake,” that a gun discharged accidentally while he wrestled with the Negro who re sisted his order to put up his hands. The. Rev. K. E. Wall spent much of yesterday with the man and bap tized him in a Protestant faith. Then, as he was being led across the prison yard toward the death cham ber, the Chinese bent down, and picked the flowers that he carried with him to death.
