James Wabben, a fourteen-year-old boy, was before the police court yester day charged with arson. It appeared that the boy had set fire to a patch of dry grass near the Milwaukee tracks. Owing to the dryness of everything the fire spread rapidly and came near de stroying valuable property. Hearing in the case was deferred until the 16th. Fred Knauff is a young boy who seems to be beyond the control of his parents. He has been in court before and was brought in yesterday on the charge of incorrigibility. His home is a good one, but the boy will get into mischief, and his father decided to have him sent to the reform school. The matter will come up on the 19th and will most likely go directly to the judges of the district court. Henry Konker was arraigned yester day on a charge of carrying concealed weapons. Konker is a Burlington eme loye, who was brutally attacked a few days ago by some strikers because he refused to quit work. ‘The arrest was the outcome of punishment inflicted upon his assailants who attempted to exercise revenge. ‘The court dismissed the case. All the men arrested at the time the Griffin gambling house was raided. Night before last, were arraigned yes terday and had their cases continued to July 19.
