Theatre Auditions Held The Benton Hose Company, Fort Benton’s newly formed summer theatre group held auditions for parts Monday night. Two parts are left to be cast, those of the butler and the manservant. Anyone wish ing to try out for these parts are asked to come to practice. Practices are being held each night at 7 p. m. in the elementary auditorium. Those people with parts and the parts they will play are: JoAnne Jordan, Gwendolen; Wanda Meer, Cecily; Theresa Crockford, Miss Prism; Joan Scriver, Lady Brack nell; Phil Scriver, Jack; Dick Crock ford, Algernon; Bill Crockford, v. Canon Chasuble. Read-through held Tuesday night with block ing to begin tonight (Wednesday). Production dates have not been set, but will be either the first or second week of August. Plans are being finalized for im provisional theatre in the park. Since there will be no announced schedule as to time, the bell on the old fire house will be rung to sig nify the start. This form of dra matic arts is to be held in the park next to the old fire house. Anyone who is able is asked to come, bring your blanket and help Fort Benton’s summer theatre gain fame. Director of The Benton Hose Company is Bob Overholser, a drama major attending Southern Oregon College in Ashland, Ore gon. All members of the cast and group have had varied experiences in theatre and all aspects of theatre work including acting, stage man aging, make up and all other aspects. Anyone interested in join ing the group is asked to contact Bob Overholser, or Joan Scriver.
