The parents of the seven students temporarily stranded in Rome by the collapse of their tour company, are still won dering when their daughters will return to the states. The students a teachers were among some 3,500 tourists who were stranded when World Academy tour agency an nounced its bankruptcy on Monday. The girls were to tour Europe through August 9. Rome was their first stop of the tour. The airplane tickets were all that was salvaged from the tour agency. Mrs. Tony Court, mother of one of the students, said that originally they expected to hear from the girls on Friday. She Said that the girls had called a few days before when they learned of their situation and said that they thought they would get a flight out on Friday. Mrs. Martha Wilson, one of the teachers escorting the girls, called from Rome on Friday evening and said that they would leave Rome at 2 p.m. Sunday, Mrs. Court said. The parents really became confused when Sean Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Davis, called Saturday morning to say that they were leaving Rome that day. The girls are expected to fly to Chicago from Rome where they promised to call their agents. “Hopefully, we should eat from them by Sunday,” Mrs. Court said. The students are Jan Jackson, Darlene Court, Vikki Beals, Cindy Murray, Leah Davis, Joy Lewis and Debbie Skrivanek. The teachers are Mrs. Wilson and Miss Mary Ellen Dorsey.
