Plans are completed for the dedication of the new Bandera County Recreation AssociationCenter on the Bandera-Medina Highway at Mansfield Park.A big street parade under the direction of Bennie Adamietz of Bennie’s U-Bar Ranch will open the festivities at 1:30 tomorrow, Saturday, July 13, 1908.Following the parade which will wind through downtown Bandera, the White Elephant Sale will he held at the Recrea-tion Center at 3 p.m. Allie Allsup and Joe Walters, both notedauctioneers of this area, will auction off the many items (hat have been donated for the benefit of the Recreation CenterCoffee and cake will be served during the auction.At about 5 p.m. Congressman O. C. Fisher, our representative for the 21st District of Texas, will give the address of dedication of the center. He will be introduced by our County Judge, Roy Adams, who will serve as master of ceremonies for the event.F'ollowyng Mr. Fisher’s address supper will be served. Mrs. R. L. Stevens, Bandera County Home Demonstration Agent, and a number of women of the county will serve the supper, which will consist of barbecued meats including beef, mutton, cabrito, pork, sausage, beans, potato salad, pickles, onions and a drink. Homemade cakes and pies will be on sale. Members of the Recreation Association will be admitted free, however, those whoare not members will be charged$1.25 for adults and 75c forschool age children.At 8 p.m. a free rodeo will beheld in the new rodeo arena.Everyone is cordially invited to attend.Those who wish to make a donation of any sort of article to be sold at the White Elephantauction are requested to take them to the Bandera Chamber of Commerce office. If you do nothave a way to get your donation to the auction arrangements canbe made at the Chamber office.Those who have picnic table— please bring them along to help relieve the shortage.
