The one-way traffic on Chan nel Islands boulevard between Ventura and Patterson roads is causing some confusion in Port Hueneme. Not only did a 78-year-old Ox nard Beach resident not realize she was traveling the wrong Way on a posted one-way street last night, but she was not even aware that she caused a car to turn over to avoid hitting her vehicle head-on. Ami Aliloa K. Blaisdell, 18, a farm worker of 3661 Sunset lane, Oxnard Beach, told Port Hueneme police he was driving east at 7:30 p.m. on the recent ly completed one-way portion of Channel Islands boulevard when he found himself coming head-on toward the car driven by Miss Mabel Edena Neiley of 3448 Ocean drive, Oxnard Beach. He said he applied his brakes but began skidding, causing the vehicle to flip over onto its top. An unidentified motorist halt ed Miss Neiley at the end of the one - way sector and inform ed her of the accident. She im mediately returned to the scene where Port Hueneme police in terrogated her. Miss Neiley said she had just returned from a vacation and had no idea she was “traveling the wrong way”’ or that she had, caused an accident. The accident occurred on Channel Islands boulevard ap proximately 426 feet west of Lido boulevard. Police cited Miss Neiley for driving without a license in her possession and for driving the wrong Way on a one-way street.
