OBITUARY ANSEL'J. CONNERAnsel J. Conner, SO, North wood [businessman and funeral home director, died from injuries Buffered in an auto accident south of [Hampton Monday aftewicpn.Conner, former Worth county sheriff and member of the North-wood town council, died about 8 p.m. Monday in a Hampton hospitalFuneral services were at 2 p.m., .Saturday at the Miethodist church in -Northwood with the, Rev. R. iRoJand 'Hitter officiating. Burial was in Sunset Rest cemetery in Northwood.Conner wag ,bom Nov. 30, 1905 in AiLbia to William and Harriet ■Pri'ce Conner. He attended iP-areorla college, in Fairfield and served in ihe U.S. Marine corps in. the Yangtze River campaign in China from -March, 1827 to November, lfr29.He was married . to Marjory Johnson on Sept. 13, 1942 in the Methodist parsonage in iNorthwood. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine, Veterans of Foreign. Wars and the Methodist dhureh. He rmrned and operated Conner Sundries and Conner Funeral Home in Nprthwoed.Conner served as Worth county shE*-ifT for W years before resigning la Ajril, it»5D, being elected to six consecutive* terms. He was a member of the Northwood town council for thp past three yearn and served as local service director of the Cross for several years.He is survived by his wife Marjory; thrca children, Eve, 16 and twins Lynn and Lynnette, age 12.
