Tom Flaherty, a resident of Po cahontas county for many years, died at his home in Emmetsburg, July 4, following an illness of two months. Funeral services were held at St. Thomas church there Saturday morning with Rev. C. E. Farrelly officiating at the requiem Mass. Pallbearers were Frank Brady, Wm. Dunnigan, Wh. Mil len, Wm. Hand, C. H. McNulty and Mina Dickeson, all of Emmetsburg. Burial was in Calvary cemetery in Pocahontas. Thomas Flaherty was born June 16, 1877 in County Kerry, Ireland, where hereto manhood was united in marriage with Miss. Nanno Cerner.
