(Intended for last week) We are having very fine wea ther at present. Miss Clarinda Sprinkle is im proving from her long iliness. Mrs. Ruthie Saddler is able to sit up a little now. Miss Davie Esarey was in town on Tuesday. Dr. Taylor, of Leopold, passed through town on Monday. Ap Esarey was in Eckerty on Monday after a load of woods. Frank Galey stacked his wheat on Monday. Rowena Saalman was in town Tuesday trading and had some repair work done. J. D. Esarey is busy plowing corn and he has a fine prospect for a good crop. George E. Saddler was in town on Tuesday having some repair work done at the blacksmith shop. C. C. Saalman and wife were Sunday guests of Ap Esurey. The farmers of this vicinity are very busy getting in them clover and wheat and cultivating corn. Ravier Lamar has just com pleted a nice barn and gave a dance in a last Saturday night at which a large crowd was pres ent. Miss Jince Carr is visiting her uncle, Joe Saalman, at present. John W. Frakes and Sam Faul kenburg were in town Tuesday evening. Mr. Lytle, a post office inspect or, was in town Tuesday for the purpose of securing someone to carry the mail from here to Eck erly as George Saddler’s time is up on the work. George will carry it another month until until some one is gotten to carry it regularly. Ed Pollard, of this place, and Miss. Jeanette Keiser, of Oriole drove to English last Tuesday and were married... They sur prised their many friends and relatives by keeping their inten tions a secret. May they enjoy a long, happy , and prosperous life together. Beulah.
