MRS. WINNIE SHEPARD.Mrs. Wionie Shepard, who was perhaps one of if not the oldest living women in Greene County, being somewhere close to ninety years old, passed away Friday June 28, 1912, and was buried the next day at Wiu-bourn Chapel in the Edith community. She was the mother of five children as follows: one son, John Thomas who is dead but survived by a family of six children all themselves married and living in the Rocky Creek settlement; one daughter, Fannie, who married Jim Erk-wood, but is now dead herself though six married children also survive her; three living daughters, viz: Miss Rebecca Shepard unmarried, Mrs. Mary wife of John Brown, and Mrs. J.K. Box of this city, whose husband furnishes us the data for this death notice. As can be seen she leaves a numerous progenity, even unto the third and fourth generation.
