The two hoboes, ac- ncording to the b©\ s story, saw Kddie plaring at hi6 home on Main Street in p I St. Joseph and began telling him1 thrilling stories about the adventuresf of bovs raaming through the cities of pthe world. Thev instilled into his*mind a desire for the tramp life and finally induced him to go with them Eddie who is I - years old, was enthused bv their wonderful talk and secretly accompanied them to Benton Harbor. ,f*i Chief of police Johnson was notified concerning the missing boy and a search was instituted for boboes and Kddie. Officer u Brien found the trio . at the Big Kour -lepot and demanded of the tramps an explanation. They hlt; denied kidnapping the boy and said he ol wanted to go with them and that they had no thought of st *aiing him. The ^ . policeman gave the hoboes a sound e, thrashing and chased them out of si town.
