The American Yacht America.—Mr. John C. Stevens, the owner of the yacht America, is a passenger by the Humbeldt to Havre. The America left New York for that port on the 21st ult., and after remaining on the coast of France for e few days is to set sail for Cowes, where she will doubtless be an object of great interest to the members of the.Royal Yacht Bquadron, The Tribune has the following °n the subject:—“ The new yacht America sailed for Europe on Saturday morning. She was built upon the condition that should, she prove to be a faster sailer than the Maria the builder should receive double the cost of building her, which was about #16,000. She has had several trials with the Maria, but has never been able to beat her; but several gentlemen were so well satisfied with her sailing that they purchased her for #20,000. Her present owners are Messrs, John C. Stevens, George li. Schuyler, Edwin A. Stevens, Beekman Finley, and Mr. Wilkes,and they send her across the Atlantic lor the purpose of matching her against the crack vessels of the Eoyal Yacht Club. She first goes to Havre, where she will be fitted up in elegant style, and then proceed over to England. *
