Tyndallites receive command art honorsTyndall had 10 award winners in the TAC level artist craftsman contest, held this year at George AFB, Calif. Six of these winners were in the adult category, four from the youth.SSgt. Victor Alcantara, won a second place award for his presentation “Pablo.” A third place award was given to Allan Tremaine for “Sailing Slips.” Honorable mentions were awarded to SSgt. Otto Bumberger for “Prisoner of the Ores”; Gary R. Downing for “Bronze Nude”; Ruth Evans for “Chef’; and to Dorothee Tremaine for“Conch.”In the youth division, DebraMiller took first place with“Sail Boat.” Michael Rosen-gren and Lisa Amoss were each awarded two honorable mentions; Amoss for “Coil Pot” and “Unicorn Box” and Rosengren for “Food” and “Desert.” Scott Rosengren was another honorable mention award winner for “Airplane.”Thea Mueller, director of the arts and crafts complex at Tyndall, spoke with pride of the excellent work of all contestants from Tyndall. “The TAC contest was a very good show and Tyndall was 1 represented by some fine work,” she saia. “I’d like to thank everyone who entered from here and look forward to seeing more of their .work.”
