Wilhelm Home Yields Several Gallons of Evidence—No Arrests Made, Headed by City Marshal ‘5. E. Towers, a group of officers raided three “homes, on ‘Eagle Heights Fri day,afternoon,---securing--, several ‘gallons of home brew, but no ar rests ,were made at the time of the raid.. “ . Searching the premises of the Loren Wilhelm home, _ officers found 10 gallons of home brew in a barrel, stored on the second floor, while eight bottles of the brew were found in an ice box. The barrel was emptied of its treasure, while the bottled brew ,was kept for evidence. Wilhelm escaped capture. ee Following the visit to the Wil helm home, the party searched the home of “Shortly” Long,also on Eagle Heights. Officers stated they saw Tong emptying the last jar of his stock as they approached the house. A quantity of the beverage had been spilled on the kitchen floor, but nothing .was ‘Jeft but the scent. The Frederick home near the slaughitey. pen, east’ of town,, was next. segrehed, ‘but here, too, it was. found that the visit had been anticipated.
