BABY IS BURIED ALIVE; OOLF BUNKERNEW YORK, Jul.' 9.—In one of the bunkers on the Hackensack Golf Club course a 3-month.'-old female child, buried alive, was discovered at about noon by H. Myers Bgert, who was participating in the cli b championship for the president’s cup.HACKENSACK, N. J., July 10.—Coming out of the Holy Trinity Church, prayer book in hand, Sophia Collins, 21 years old, a domestic employed at the home of Hewitt E. Fielding of 109 Park street, Hackensack, was arrested on a charge of infanticide.The young woman, when accused later of having buried her infant baby alongside one of the bunkers on the Hackensack Golf Club’s grounds, alive, unhesitatingly admitted the awful charge and made a full confession.“I buried my baby because I thought she was dead,” was the only explanation the young woman offered, smiling as though her arrest was but a joke.MAN 104 YEARS OLD ENDS LIFE.LEXINGTON. Ky., July 10.—Henry Miller, aged 104 years, grew tired of life at Harrodsburg, in Mercer County, and committed suicide by taking paris green. He was one of the oldest men in Kentucky.
