The Lawn Social held last week, the 4th inst., on the grounds of Mr. John Faris, was without question the event of the season. When the Scotch Settlement folk set themselves to do a thing thty generally do it well. The arrangements from beginning to end were simply perfect. Tea and Coffee served on the tables steaming hot, and the edibles were of the very choicest. The fine swing erected by Mr, Jno. Faris added much to the amusement of the company.
