* wv oo- ijunawy in Jail. ‘~T~WAS committed to the Jail of Claiborne county, Mississippi, a negro man, who says bis name is ALLEN, and that he belongs to Stephen Terry, of Jefferson connty. Said negro is of a dark brown complexion; 6 feet 2$ inches high; about 30 years of age; has a Bear on his forehead, and on the left side of his neck; the lower part of each of his ears is off, (he says they were bit off in a fight with another negro); one lower front tooth out, and one upper front tooth broke. He had on when committed, heavy irons on his right leg, LoweW shirt and pants, and a leather bolt.The owner of the above negro is requested to eome forward, prove property, pay charges, and take him out of jail, or he wirf be dealtwith according to law.
